Football Preview: Reidsville Rams vs. Page Pirates
The Reidsville Rams will head out to challenge the Page Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Reidsville will be strutting in after a victory while Page will be coming in after a loss.
While Rams fans will have to keep waiting for their team to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Friday's season opener. They were the clear victor by a 28-3 margin over Western Alamance on Friday. The Rams are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 13 straight dating back to last season.
Reidsville relied on the efforts of Dionte Neal, who rushed for 81 yards on only six carries, and Jariel Cobb, who rushed for 113 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries. Meanwhile, Page couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 53-7 loss at the hands of Dudley. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while the Panthers are ranked 14th).
Reidsville strolled past Page in their previous matchup back in August of 2023 by a score of 31-17. The rematch might be a little tougher for Reidsville since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
