The South Williamsport Mountaineers will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Hazleton Area Cougars at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Meanwhile, Hazleton Area gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 16-6 margin over Berwick. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Kayla Lagowy was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024. Olivia Williams was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles.
