Clinton's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past the Campbell County Cougars, posting a 53-15 victory. With that win, the Dragons brought their scoring average up to 27.6 points per game.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clinton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bryson Maddox, who picked up 216 receiving yards and three TDs. That's the most receiving yards Maddox has posted since back in September of 2024. Cam Anderson was in the mix too, providing Clinton with two touchdowns.

Clinton's run defense was locked in: Campbell County could only muster 1.3 yards per carry. The team can thank Jaxon Herrell for the heroic effort on defense: he. Clinton's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.9.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for Clinton, racking up 11 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Maddox, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Clinton's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Campbell County, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6.
