After a string of four wins, Twin Lakes's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They came up short against the McCutcheon Mavericks, falling 11-5. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 14-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Carson Wagner was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

In other batting news, Aidan Holle was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That home run was his first of the season.

Twin Lakes now has a losing record of 4-5. As for McCutcheon, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-3.
