Soccer Game Preview: Chapel Hill vs. Pleasant Grove

Chapel Hill is 2-8 against Pleasant Grove since March of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Chapel Hill Red Devils will head out on the road to challenge the Pleasant Grove Hawks at 5:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Chapel Hill is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They fell 2-0 to North Lamar. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Red Devils couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Pleasant Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. While the 3-3 score might suggest a draw, it was North Lamar who was credited with the victory. North Lamar got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Pleasant Grove's three.

Chapel Hill's record is now 5-9. As for Pleasant Grove, their record is now 4-10.

Chapel Hill might still be hurting after the 4-0 loss they got from Pleasant Grove in their previous meeting back in January. Can Chapel Hill avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
