Football Recap: Staunton River Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Staunton River was the 29-28 winner over Fleming when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Golden Eagles took a hard 33-14 fall against the Colonels on Friday. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Patrick Chewning threw for 86 yards and one TD. Grayson Sheets was his top target, picking up 57 receiving yards.

Fleming had a senior duo take command as Daedae Faulkner rushed for 96 yards and a pair of scores on only nine carries and Josiah Ragland rushed for 117 yards and one touchdown on only 13 carries. Faulkner also put up two rushing touchdowns, which were his first of the season.

Staunton River's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Fleming, the victory also got them back to even at 3-3.
