Soccer Game Preview: Ridgeview vs. Lee

The Ridgeview Wolfpack will challenge the Lee Generals at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Ridgeview and six for Lee.

Ridgeview came up short against Lebanon on Thursday, falling 9-1. That's two games in a row now that Ridgeview have lost by exactly eight goals.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Lee's offense. They lost 8-0 to Abingdon on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Lee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 294th, while Abingdon are ranked 104th).

Ridgeview's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Lee, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Ridgeview took their victory against Lee in their previous matchup on April 1st by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolfpack since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
