Soccer Game Preview: Liberty vs. Big Spring

The Liberty Patriots will take on the Big Spring Steers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Big Spring took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Liberty, who comes in off a win.

Liberty's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 4-0 margin over Andrews. Randen Schlumpf was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Big Spring was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 4-0 to Lake View. While losing is never fun, Big Spring can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 803rd, while Lake View are ranked 369th).

The victory made it two in a row for Liberty and bumps their season record up to 10-7. As for Big Spring, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.
