Flag Football Recap: Emerald Takes a Loss

Emerald extended their losing streak to six on Wednesday, dropping them down to 1-11. They were beaten by the James Logan Colts 35-0. While losing is never fun, the Aerouants can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 600th, while the Colts are ranked 63rd).

As for James Logan, their victory bumped their record up to 9-0. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 20 points or more this season.

James Logan found their leader in sophomore Cassandra Munoz, who made five total tackles and snagged two interceptions which she returned one-yard for a touchdown.

Looking ahead, Emerald will take on Pittsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Pirates' defense has only allowed 8.9 points per game this season, so the Aerouants' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for James Logan, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 18-6 loss against Alameda on the 25th.
