Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Nathan Hale). They put the hurt on the Sequim Wolves with a sharp 13-1 win on Saturday. With that victory, the Raiders brought their scoring average up to 7 runs per game.

Andrew Goodman was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Goodman was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those stolen bases were his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Josh Earlywine, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. He also put up three RBI, which were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Finn Leach, who got on base in three of his six plate appearances with two RBI.

Nathan Hale always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .532. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.

Nathan Hale's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2-1. As for Sequim, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nathan Hale will face off against Franklin at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Sequim, they and North Mason will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
