Woodland Park came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Lamar, but Jacob Dunning wouldn't allow it. The Thunder claimed a resounding 52-20 victory over the Panthers for which the team can thank Dunning, who threw for 306 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.1% of his passes, and also punched in one rushing score. Lamar is undefeated when Dunning posts three or more passing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.

Cason Pollart was Dunning's top target, picking up 163 receiving yards and one TD. Pollart was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 61 yards.

Lamar didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Dunning, Pollart, and Adriel Gonzalez picked up one apiece. Pollart got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Woodland Park lost on Friday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Saie Soto, who rushed for 98 yards and one score. Nathan Summeril also helped out with an impressive 103 receiving yards.

Lamar's record is now 4-2. As for Woodland Park, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lamar will challenge Manitou Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Thunder will be up against the Mustangs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 40.8 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Woodland Park, they will square off against Florence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Huskies have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests.
