Baseball Recap: Alvirne Takes a Loss

Alvirne managed to slip by Nashua South the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Broncos lost 9-1 to the Purple Panthers on Wednesday. The Broncos' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it six in a row.

Alvirne saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaxson Polleck, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI. That RBI was Polleck's first of the season.

Alvirne's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Nashua South, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Alvirne is set to square off against their familiar foe Bedford at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Nashua South will take on rival Concord at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
