On Friday, Ensworth faced Pope John Paul II in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Ensworth Tigers fell 72-62 to the Pope John Paul II Knights. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Ensworth's loss dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Pope John Paul II, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 27-3.
