Baseball Recap: Thorndale Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Thorndale can now relate to. They fell just short of the Danbury Panthers by a score of 1-0 on Saturday. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 7-6.

Thorndale saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Pedro Jimenez, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Thorndale's loss dropped their record down to 22-5. As for Danbury, they are on a roll lately: they've won 20 of their last 22 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-8 record this season.

Thorndale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Danbury, they will take on Ganado on Saturday. The Indians will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
