Football Recap: West Point Starts Season with Win Against Westview + How To Watch

West Point had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 7-6 victory over the Westview Knights. For the Dragons, this counts as revenge for the 19-7 win the Knights walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2023.

West Point didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Madison Lidgard led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself. Malayah Wilson got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Westview's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

West Point wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 48-0 defeat against Boulder Creek on the 23rd. As for Westview, they have also already played their next matchup, a 38-0 victory against Peoria on the 23rd.
