Recap: Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks vs. Wewahitchka Gators
With a playoff game on the line, the Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks rose to the challenge on Monday. They secured a 42-38 W over the Gators. The win was a breath of fresh air for Port St. Joe as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.
Port St. Joe found their leader in underclassman KK McNair, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Zaylnn Kilpatric, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Port St. Joe's win bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Wewahitchka, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 13 of their last 14 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-20 record this season.
Port St. Joe will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Aucilla Christian at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th. Hopefully Aucilla Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine last Thursday. Wewahitchka does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
