Softball Recap: Hillsboro Has No Trouble Against Newberg

Hillsboro made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Newberg, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Spartans blew past the Tigers 9-3 on Wednesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Spartans as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

The victory got Hillsboro back to even at 3-3. As for Newberg, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hillsboro will challenge Aloha at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 9.5 runs per game this season. As for Newberg, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Ridgeview at 5:00 p.m.
