Volleyball Recap: Pawnee City Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Pawnee City had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Exeter-Milligan/Friend Bobcats on Thursday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-11.

Exeter-Milligan/Friend can attribute much of their success to Sophie Weber, who had three digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Weber a new career-high.

Coincidentally, Pawnee City and Exeter-Milligan/Friend will both be playing Lewiston the next time they take the court. The Bobcats will head out to face the Tigers on Thursday, while the Indians will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
