Football Recap: Troy Comes Up Short

Troy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through a 39-0 loss at the hands of the Canyon Comanches. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 429th, while the Comanches are ranked ninth).

Troy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Canyon, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Troy is set to face off against their familiar foe El Modena at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Canyon will challenge rival Cypress at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be the Comanches' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
