Baseball Recap: Palm Springs Find Success

Palm Springs barely beat Yucca Valley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Palm Springs never let Yucca Valley get on the board and left with a 7-0 win on Saturday. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Palm Springs saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rogelio Jacquez, who scored a run while going 1-for-1. Another was Jordan Baggett, who scored a run and stole two bases.

Palm Springs' win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Yucca Valley, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coming up, Palm Springs will square off against Palm Desert at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Palm Desert will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Palm Springs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Yucca Valley, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Indio at 6:00 p.m. on April 7.
