Softball Recap: Sullivan County Comes Up Short

If Sullivan County was feeling good fresh off their 13-7 takedown of Millville on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Griffins lost 9-3 to the Columbia Montour Vo-Tech Rams on Tuesday. The Griffins were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rams earlier this season, when they won 10-0.

Hannah Kelly was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Miley Dickinson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Sullivan County's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Columbia Montour Vo-Tech, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-9.

Looking ahead, Sullivan County will face off against Benton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Columbia Montour Vo-Tech, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 18-16 victory against Millville on the 7th.
