Salinas had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their defense stepped up to hand the Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory Fightin' Irish a 1-0 shutout on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Cowboys sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Morgan Retterer, who's now up to 24 this season.

Salinas pushed their record up to 17-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up four goals over those ten matchups. As for Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-6 record this season.
