Football Recap: Westmont Hilltop Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Westmont Hilltop's offense. They were beaten by the Penns Valley Area Rams 28-0 on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hilltoppers of the 34-14 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Westmont Hilltop didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Gavin Torquato and Justin Ray.

Penns Valley Area's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Fletcher Ironside, who picked up 65 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Carter Ironside was another key passer, throwing for 161 yards and three touchdowns.

Westmont Hilltop's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Penns Valley Area, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-8.

As of now, neither Westmont Hilltop nor the Rams have any future games scheduled.
