Volleyball Recap: North Central Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

North Central's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Ben Davis Giants. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

While North Central won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-16, 25-21.

Despite the defeat, Ben Davis saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Desron Beauchamp had 13 assists and nine digs. Beauchamp is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 12 or more in each of the last four games he's played.

North Central's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-8. As for Ben Davis, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 7-6.

Coming up, North Central will head out to square off against Lawrence North at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ben Davis, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Irvington Preparatory Academy on the 8th.
