Basketball Recap: Dover Comes Up Short

Dover has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 53-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ashland Arrows on Saturday.

Ashland found their leader in sophomore Kennedy Lacey, who went 6 for 9 en route to 17 points and seven rebounds. Camryn Cox was another key player, going 6 of 7 on her way to 12 points and seven boards.

Dover's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Ashland, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-4.

Dover wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 46-45 victory against Perry on the 22nd. As for Ashland, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 43-41 win against Tri-Valley on the 20th.
