Harlingen won the last time they faced San Benito and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Cardinals came out on top against the Greyhounds by a score of 4-1. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cardinals as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Isaiah Gaytan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits.

At the plate, Harlingen's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Marco Snavely, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Harlingen's win bumped their record up to 9-16. As for San Benito, they dropped their record down to 8-11 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Harlingen will head out on the road to square off against Veterans Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chargers have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for San Benito, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Hanna at 6:30 p.m.
