Football Recap: St. Bernard's Has No Trouble Against San Rafael + How To Watch

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but St. Bernard had no problem doing just that on Saturday. Everything went their way against the San Rafael Bulldogs as they made off with a 42-20 win. The result was nothing new for the Crusaders, who have now won seven games by 22 points or more so far this season.

Kuron Devlin had a dynamite game, picking up 93 receiving yards and one touchdown, while also rushing for 64 yards. His longest reception was for an incredible 77 yards.

St. Bernard's didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited San Rafael to a completion percentage of just 41.7%. The team can thank Braylon Johnson for the heroic effort on defense: he. Sadly, that's becoming something of a trend for St. Bernard's; they were averaging 58.8%completion percentage earlier this season, but in their last three contests they've fallen to only 0%.

San Rafael lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Lachlan Royston, who threw for 235 yards and three TDs. He has become a key player for San Rafael: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least three passing touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise. The Bulldogs' leading receiver Jameson Fondnazio was Royston's top target yet again, picking up 65 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

The victory made it two in a row for St. Bernard's and bumps their season record up to 10-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.5 points over those games. As for San Rafael, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4.
