Basketball Recap: Poplar Bluff Takes a Loss

After flying high against St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K last Saturday, Poplar Bluff came back down to earth. The Poplar Bluff Mules had to suffer through a 81-28 loss at the hands of the Vashon Wolverines. The game marked the Mules' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Poplar Bluff's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Vashon, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Poplar Bluff will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Webb City at 3:30 p.m. on January 9th. As for Vashon, they will take on Quincy at 4:30 p.m. on January 4th. Vashon knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 contests -- so hopefully Quincy likes a good challenge.
