Bunker posted their closest victory since September 20th on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the South Iron Panthers 3-2. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Bunker had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 19-25, 22-25, 25-23, 25-15, 15-12.

Kara Barton paced Bunker's offense, picking up 18 kills. Barton got some help from Loren Ritter and her 21 assists. Barton and Ritter didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with five apiece.

With the win, Bunker broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 10-16-2. As for South Iron, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season.

Bunker didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-1 tie against Kingston on the 11th. As for South Iron, they will challenge Winona at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
