Volleyball Recap: Hastings Comes Up Short

Hastings lost against South St. Paul back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Raiders took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Packers. While the Raiders didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Packers 25-14 in the first set.

Hastings started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 14-25, 25-23, 25-18, 25-22.

Leading South St. Paul to victory were Abby Ulrick and Annabel Wiik. Ulrick had 17 digs and two assists, while Wiik had three aces. That's the most digs Ulrick has posted over her last five contests.

Hastings' defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for South St. Paul, their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 11-12.

Hastings does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South St. Paul, they will face off against DeLaSalle at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
