Baseball Recap: Greenbrier East Takes a Loss

If Greenbrier East was riding high fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Independence on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spartans fell just short of the Sissonville Indians by a score of 2-1 on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Spartans in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost four in a row.

Greenbrier East saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashton Cochran, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Greenbrier East's defeat dropped their record down to 18-13. As for Sissonville, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-7.

As of now, neither Greenbrier East nor the Indians have any future games scheduled.
