Soccer Game Preview: Triangle Math & Science vs. Research Triangle

Triangle Math & Science is 0-5 against Research Triangle since February of 2022 but things could change on Wednesday. The Triangle Math & Science Tigers will be playing at home against the Research Triangle Raptors at 4:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Triangle Math & Science is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They lost 5-1 to Excelsior Classical Academy. The game was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Tigers couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Meri Bibit, which was the first she's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Research Triangle didn't have quite enough to beat River Mill on Monday and fell 4-3. The Raptors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Research Triangle's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Triangle Math & Science, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Triangle Math & Science suffered a grim 10-1 defeat to Research Triangle in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Triangle Math & Science was down 5-1.
