Basketball Recap: St. Raymond Academy for Girls Falls Short of Montfort Academy in the Playoffs

St. Raymond Academy for Girls and Montfort Academy squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but St. Raymond Academy for Girls had to settle for second. They received a blow as they fell 57-43 to the Montfort Academy Knights. The Bluejays were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 43-35.

Montfort Academy was led to victory by Tafadzwa Ruvando and Bianca Creales. Ruvando posted 24 points, while Creales put up 21 points. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which Creales has scored at least a third of Montfort Academy's points.

St. Raymond Academy for Girls now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Montfort Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-9.

St. Raymond Academy for Girls does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Montfort Academy, they will challenge Cristo Rey at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
