Basketball Recap: Kimberton Waldorf Sets Scoring Season-High Against Varsity Opponent

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kimberton Waldorf). They were the clear victor by a 69-49 margin over Varsity Opponent on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 57-45 back in December of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kimberton Waldorf to victory, but perhaps none more so than Franklin Matichak, who went 8 of 17 en route to 21 points and four steals. The dominant performance gave Matichak a new career-high in points. Ram Hegde was another key player, putting up 19 points in addition to six rebounds and six steals.

The win made it two in a row for Kimberton Waldorf and bumps their season record up to 11-5.

Kimberton Waldorf has already played their next game, a 50-29 loss against Barrack Hebrew Academy on the 15th. Varsity Opponent has also already played their next match (against Bible Baptist), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
