Cass posted their closest victory since September 12, 2024 on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Unity Christian Lions 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Colonels.

Ella Claire Goodwin and Chloe Paul certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Goodwin had 14 assists and four aces, while Paul had three digs and three aces.

Cass' victory bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Unity Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.

Looking ahead, Cass is taking a road trip to square off against Hiram at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Unity Christian, they have already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Paulding County on the 23rd.
