Volleyball Recap: Holmes Comes Up Short

Holmes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ludlow Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on September 9th.

Holmes' defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Ludlow, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-16.

Holmes wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Villa Madonna on the 30th. As for Ludlow, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Dayton on the 27th.
