Softball Recap: Lamar Comes Up Short

Lamar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They came up short against the Martin Warriors, falling 25-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-2 on March 5th.

Lamar's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Martin, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-8-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lamar will take on rival Haltom at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Martin is set to square off against their familiar foe Grand Prairie at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
