Baseball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central lost to Crystal Lake Central on Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Rockets took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers.

Tyler Kotwica was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits.

At the plate, Liam Schultz was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 11-15-2. As for Crystal Lake Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-14 record this season.
