Recap: D'Iberville Warriors vs. Harrison Central Red Rebels
The D'Iberville Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 48-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Harrison Central. While losing is never fun, D'Iberville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 125th, while Harrison Central is ranked 31st).
Aujaylen Barron continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Harrison Central, scoring 19 points. Barron continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Jashun McMillian was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with two blocks.
D'Iberville has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season. As for Harrison Central, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-8.
D'Iberville will challenge St. Martin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully St. Martin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 last Friday. As for Harrison Central, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Ocean Springs at 7:30 p.m.
