Volleyball Game Preview: Rapid City Christian Comets vs. Dell Rapids Quarriers

After both having extra time off, the Rapid City Christian Comets and the Dell Rapids Quarriers will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Rapid City Christian sitting on three straight wins and Dell Rapids on five.

Rapid City Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They won by a set and slipped past Groton 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Comets have posted since October 4th.

Meanwhile, Dell Rapids made easy work of Todd County on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win.

Rapid City Christian better focus on containing Alaina Wolff and Tenley Anderson as the pair were huge in Dell Rapids' win. Wolff had seven digs and two aces, while Anderson had 37 assists and seven digs. That's the most aces Wolff has posted since back in October.

Dell Rapids was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in six consecutive contests.

Rapid City Christian's record is now 28-12. As for Dell Rapids, their record now sits at 27-6.
