Volleyball Recap: Plainfield Central Wildcats vs. Oswego East Wolves
Plainfield Central lost against Oswego East back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolves. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
While Plainfield Central ultimately came up short, they really made Oswego East work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 25-18.
Milo Nelson paced Plainfield Central's offense, picking up eight kills. Nelson got some help from Vincent Trevino and his 16 assists. Finally, Jaden Frankiewicz and Tyler Mohlman kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked two attacks.
Among those leading the charge was Nathan Thach, who had 11 digs and two aces. That's the most aces he has posted over his last six contests.
Plainfield Central's defeat dropped their record down to 10-24. As for Oswego East, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-16.
