After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Thetford Academy, Spaulding was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Lamoille Lancers. Considering the Crimson Tide have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Spaulding has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Lamoille, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-8.
Coming up, Spaulding will challenge U-32 at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Raiders' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Crimson Tide's hitters will have their work cut out for them. Lamoille does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
