Basketball Recap: ROWVA/Williamsfield Takes a Loss

If ROWVA/Williamsfield was riding high fresh off their 77-55 takedown of Knoxville last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The ROWVA/Williamsfield Cougars took a blow against the Galva Wildcats on Friday, falling 86-54. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-24.

It was another big night for MJ Louck, who shot 5-for-8 from deep and dropped a double-double on 34 points and 11 rebounds for Galva. The dominant performance gave Louck a new career-high in points. Blake Stahl was another key player, going 8 of 14 to rack up 22 points and seven boards.

ROWVA/Williamsfield has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season. As for Galva, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-5.
