Basketball Recap: Carolina Academy Takes a Loss

Carolina Academy lost against St. Joseph's Catholic back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Carolina Academy Trojans lost 57-35 to the St. Joseph's Catholic Knights. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 208th, while the Knights are ranked 100th).

St. Joseph's Catholic found their leader in freshman Evie Adams, who posted 17 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tiffany Helmer, who put up 15 points.

Carolina Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for St. Joseph's Catholic, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-7.

When Carolina Academy and St. Joseph's Catholic next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Carolina Academy will square off against Southside Christian and their three-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, St. Joseph's Catholic will try to stop Powdersville's 11-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
