Basketball Game Preview: Potomac Senior Panthers vs. Woodbridge Vikings

The Potomac Senior Panthers will look to defend their home court against the Woodbridge Vikings at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Potomac Senior's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.

Potomac Senior is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Hylton: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Potomac Senior blew Hylton out of the water with a 71-16 final score. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 21 points or more this season.

Potomac Senior relied on the efforts of Amani Asari, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 16 points and four steals, and Yusef Navins, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 11 points and four steals. Asari's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Harlem Lyons, who posted ten points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Woodbridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They secured a 71-65 W over Freedom on Tuesday. That six point margin sets a new team best for the Vikings this season.

Woodbridge pushed their record up to 3-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Potomac Senior, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
