Moorpark extended their winning streak to three on Saturday, bumping their season record up to 10-8 in the process. Everything went their way against the Thousand Oaks Lancers as they made off with a 9-2 win. This was a revenge game for the Musketeers: when they faced off against the Lancers back in February, they had to take a 4-3 loss.

Tanner Stotts looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Taylor Busch, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Chase Kresge also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.

Moorpark always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

As for Thousand Oaks, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-11. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 2.5 runs.

On Thousand Oaks' side, James Luderer made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moorpark will venture away from home to challenge Camarillo at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Thousand Oaks, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Calabasas at 3:30 p.m. on the 29th.
