Basketball Recap: Southwest Takes a Loss

After flying high against Exeter last Thursday, Southwest came back down to earth. The Southwest Trojans were dealt a 54-27 defeat at the hands of the Reeds Spring Wolves on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 47-35 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2023.

Southwest moved to 7-7 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Reeds Spring, they pushed their record up to 9-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Southwest will face off against Billings at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Southwest is facing Billings at the right time seeing as Billings is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Reeds Spring, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Strafford at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
