Soccer Recap: Washington Township vs. Hebron
Washington Township and Hebron squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Washington Township had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Hebron Hawks by a score of 3-2. The Senators were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played last Friday.
Owen Gilbert wasn't going to let Hebron walk away unscathed as he scored both of Washington Township's goals, bringing his season total up to 12 goals.
Washington Township's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9-1. As for Hebron, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-10 record.
Washington Township does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hebron, they will take on Kouts at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hebron is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
