Recap: Bismarck Indians vs. South Iron Panthers
It was a good run, but the Bismarck Indians unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 49-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Iron. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bismarck in their matchups with South Iron: they've now lost eight in a row.
Bismarck's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Halie Dickey, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds. The match was Dickey's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashley Hawkins, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds.
Bismarck's loss dropped their record down to 3-1. As for South Iron, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Bismarck will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Bunker at 6:00 p.m. on December 7th. Bunker will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 128th, while Bismarck is ranked 35th). As for South Iron, they will be playing in front of their home fans against East Carter at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
