Softball Recap: Haverling Finds Playoff Glory Versus Highland

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Haverling walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Highland Huskies on Friday as they made off with a 6-0 victory. Considering the Rams have won 14 matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Caydence Spears was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three doubles and three RBI. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. Abigail Whaley was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

The win was the 17th in a row for Haverling, bringing their record up to 21-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Highland, they moved to 16-6 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Haverling didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-0 defeat against Chatham on the 14th. Highland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
